From a young age, I found myself drawn to the world of planning and organization.
Surrounded by event specialists, I couldn’t wait to begin! At the age of eight, the first event I threw was my brother’s birthday party. Coming from a large, local family, having a house full of people celebrating something was normal for me. I continued to be involved with school and leadership group events, and my love for planning flourished.
After graduating from Westmont College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies, I connected myself with local Santa Barbara event professionals and quickly realized there was no better place to advance my skills than the Four Seasons Biltmore Catering Department. For seven years, participating in nearly 100 weddings per year, I refined my skills in business management, hospitality operations, and stellar customer service but my joy for the industry fully blossomed when KB Events was born. I am blessed to help so many families continue their transformative story.
ADAM SCHUETTE
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Problem-solving, staying calm, and understanding relational dynamics have always been a part of who I am.
Growing up on a family farm with 10 siblings, without electricity, two miles from the nearest road, staying calm and finding solutions became second nature. It was there that my passion for people began. Navigating the differences in my own family, along with my extended family of over two hundred, it is rare that I come across new relational dynamics. Moving away from my family and hometown to travel through the U.S. and other countries, my love for people coordination grew
Settling in Santa Barbara, I used my acquired skills to manage a large concrete company, remodel homes, and project manage for one of the top real estate companies in Santa Barbara. In 2008, I married my best friend and fell in love with her passion for the event industry. No profession has brought me more joy than coordinating weddings with my wife. Between her, our kids, and our clients, I continually get excited to be a part of supporting and bringing people together on a regular basis!

If I can guarantee one thing, it’s that I will get just as excited about your planning and design as you will.
Growing up I was always the “Type A” creatively minded kid: color-coordinating my friends’ closets, creating beautiful and precise agendas for family vacations, hand-stitching tote bags for presents… you get the idea. Needless to say, when I began working in the planning industry as a student at Westmont College here in Santa Barbara, my family and friends weren’t all that surprised.
The intersection of detail, organization, hard work, & design is the space where I’ve always thrived. From puzzling my way through a timeline to creating unique ways to visually represent your love story through florals, tablescapes, colors, and stationery, few parts of the planning process really feel like “work” to me.
Originally growing up in a small town in Washington, I value the art of bringing a community together to celebrate both the big and small moments of life. I am a natural enthusiast and achiever at heart meaning not only will I take great care and precision while executing tasks I’m completing for your big day, but I’ll also do so with a genuine smile on my face; Nothing energizes me more than connecting with amazing people who are thrilled about their love.

We have spent countless hours speaking with and hand-picking venues, florists, wedding bands, DJs, transportation, lighting and rental companies, wedding caterers, staffing and bartending services, wedding photographers, wedding videographers, officiants, hair and makeup artists, beer burros, photo booths ... you get the idea. Thanks to our systems, we're capable of executing a stunning destination wedding anywhere in the world, with the same level of excellence as we do in Santa Barbara. In fact, a significant portion of our couples live outside of Santa Barbara, prompting us to tailor our processes for seamless planning regardless of the location. However, with over 30 years of collective planning experience right here in Santa Barbara, each local wedding venue feels like an extension of our home. We're thoroughly familiar with the nuances of each location, whether it's navigating the peculiar traffic patterns or mastering the intricacies of local venues.
While we may be a tad biased, we find that Santa Barbara truly stands out as one of the most extraordinary wedding destinations in the world.
